Job Description: As a Ride Attendant you will be assisting customers and ensuring their safety on all of our attractions including the launch pad, arcade, mini golf, go karts, bumper boats, treasure post and spider mountian climbing. Responsibilities differ for each attraction and may include: - collect tickets or money for rides - ensure appropriate number of people get on/off rides - ensure children are the appropriate height and age for rides - latch passengers into ride securely - board passengers onto ride - explain safety procedures to riders - point out all evacuation routes from rides - operate equipment that starts and shuts down ride - ensure passengers are secured safely before the ride starts - pull down safety bards, buckle seat belts, or secure harnesses - inspect equipment to detect wear and tear, perform minor and major repairs to ride as taught during training and ensure that all rides are maintained and in proper working condition. - stop vehicle and de-board passengers in case of emergencies - provide assistance to patrons entering and exiting ride. - shut down ride if major repairs are needed - space rides operated in cars or sections to avoid danger of collisions as taught in training - clean up debris around ride - keep an eye on patrons and their movements to ensure that they are safe - remove disorderly or sick people from rides - install and break down rides as taught in training. Please note this is a general list of tasks that you may be performing. Each ride has its own procedures which will be gone over during your job training. You will be expected to enforce all safety regulations and stay current with safetry rules and procedures that you learn during your training. Please note that Ride Attendees/Customer Service representatives may also be asked to perform general ground keeping jobs as well during slow times. You may be asked to clean up as needed, pull weeds, ensure cleanliness of park, etc. Other job duties as assigned will need to be performed.
